Facebook kan omsætte for over 5 mia. DKK i 2010
Facebook forventes at kunne omsætte mellem $1.0-1.1 milliard i 2010, hvilket må siges at være noget af et spring i forhold til den af Wall Street Journal estimerede omsætning i 2009 på $600-700 millioner.
Omsætningen i 2009 var estimeret fordelt således:
- Performance advertising: $350 millioner
- Brand-based advertising: $225 millioner
- Microsoft advertising: 50 millioner
- Virtual goods (bl.a. gaver): $10 millioner
Det særlig interessante er selvfølgelig 2010-tallene. Da Facebook er i gang med at udvide Facebook Credits, som betalingsplatform, ansætter nye folk til at håndtere det stigende antal brand-advertisers, så er det meget sandsynligt, at $1 mia. grænsen brydes.
Der foreligger ingen officielle omsætningstal fra Facebook.
